KaiOS is based on the Firefox OS open-source project and we are committed to abide by the rules of the applicable open source licenses.
We’ll make the source code available to the extent required by the applicable open source licenses. We are currently working on a solution to make these parts of the source code accessible in an easy way.

The available functionalities can vary per device depending on the manufacturer. Generally speaking, KaiOS supports all standard features like voice calls, text messages, contacts, camera, calendar, music, clock, and email.
Once the Kai Store is live, you can also expect many apps and functionalities that you find on most smartphones.

KaiOS supports many features including video calls. In case it does not work on your device, please check if the feature has been launched in your region. Your mobile operator should be able to provide you with this information.
As much as we’d love to help, KaiOS is not a device vendor and thus the physical product is not controlled by KaiOS. We are working with OEMs (device vendors) and the products are under their control.
