Airfind and KaiOS Technologies Partner to Bring Rich, Customized Mobile Apps to Millions of Devices Around the Globe in 2018
Los Angeles – February 26, 2018 – Airfind, a global leader in providing personalized mobile experiences, today announced a new strategic partnership with KaiOS Technologies, maker of the emerging mobile operating system KaiOS, to bring its customized apps to KaiOS-powered feature phones all over the globe.
Through the partnership, Airfind’s apps for news, weather and horoscopes will be available on millions of new mobile devices running KaiOS, and more app options are scheduled for release in the near future. This development generates new monetization options for original design manufacturers (ODMs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and provides rich content for users in emerging markets.
“Our mission is to get everyone involved in the digital revolution, and that requires a comprehensive offering of affordable hardware, reliable connectivity, engaging user experiences, and the most in-demand apps and services,” said Sebastien Codeville, CEO of KaiOS Technologies. “By partnering with Airfind, we’re able to offer innovative monetization opportunities to ODMs, OEMs, and carriers. This in turn helps them to create business models and offerings for groups that previously could not access or afford mobile internet services.”
KaiOS Technologies powers an emerging global ecosystem of affordable lite phones and IoT devices that require limited memory, while still offering a rich user experience. KaiOS is one of only a handful of global operating systems capable of supporting the most popular third-party apps like Airfind’s; more significantly, it is the only OS to natively support these apps on feature phones, offering consumers an alternative to smartphones.
“Airfind has partnered with more than 40 of the top MNOs/OEMs globally to engage more than 30 million unique consumers daily. We have an extensive track record in crafting engaging and personalized experiences, while improving retention and the relationship the consumer has with their wireless carriers,” said Aly Govani, CEO of Airfind. “We are excited to partner with KaiOS Technologies and work together to deliver a unique mobile experience to millions of new devices that run KaiOS around the world.”
